

Introduction to Arduino Language short course
Classes are presented in both English and Afrikaans.
Suitable for ages 12+:
The introductory short course is a two hour session. Each learner is given a kit that contains all the components used in the course. Each learner must bring along their own computer.
Pre-requisites:
Completed Introduction to Arduino short course. Or have knowledge of the workings of Arduino hardware.
Outcomes:

Understand Arduino board architecture, pin layouts and connectivity

Write code and upload it to the Arduino board.

Control lights and other electronic devices from their Arduino.

Test, debug and apply Arduino boards to solve real world problems.
Computer Specifications:
Each learner must bring a long a computer with the following minimum requirements:

Win 8 or later, 1.6GHz processor and 4GB of RAM.

Arduino IDE Ver 1.8 installed (Done in Introduction to Arduino short course.)
Kit:

Arduino Uno R3 (Could also use Nano or Mega 2560).

Communication cable for the Arduino used.
