

Introduction to ArduBlock short course
Classes are presented in both English and Afrikaans.
Suitable for ages 9-14:
This course is the first module of the full ArduBlock course, by completing this course you will earn a discount on the full ArduBlock course. Each learner is given a kit that contains all the components used in the course. Each learner must bring along their own computer. This course is presented on the assumption that the learner has no experience in programming Arduino or ArduBlock. The introductory short course is made up of two sessions of an hour each.
Outcomes:

Understand Arduino board pin layouts and connectivity.

Create programs using ArduBlock graphics and upload it to the Arduino board.

Control lights and other electronic devices from their Arduino.

Apply Arduino boards to control displays, sensors and actuators.
Computer Specifications:
Each learner must bring a long a computer with the following minimum requirements:

Win 8 or later, 1.6GHz processor and 4GB of RAM.

600MB of free disk space for software installation.
